This is a story about a young boy who is battling the choice of leaving the safety of his secluded chamber to help a friend. There are spiritual undertones throughout the book I wasn’t expecting but it did complimented the story. Dakota is a uniquely strange character, the likes I’ve never read about in any other stories through my lifetime. Strange visitors and even stranger plot twists make this story unpredictable and a reader unsure how the story will ultimately end until you reach the final pages.
